WASP-NET’s wide application range for accurate, fast EM CAD and optimizations of all kind of passive microwave components / antennas proves - due to WASP-NET’s generality and flexibility - to be practically unlimited.
- WASP-NET’s pioneering efficient hybrid multi-solver EM CAD engine involves all proven solvers (MM / MoM / FEM / FD / FE-BI / PTD / PO / SBR-PTD). WASP-NET utilizes automatically the most efficient solver for appropriate sub-parts of a structure. This unique hybrid combination of solvers for calculating microwave structures achieves high EM CAD optimization speed while maintaining full-wave EM accuracy as well as full 3D generality and flexibility.
- WASP-NET provides full flexibility of 3D solvers combined with high efficiency. Standard building blocks, such as steps and irises etc. are available as catalog elements. WASP-NET is, however, not limited by or restricted to catalog elements. User-defined arbitrary 3D structures or parts thereof are conveniently created in WASP-NET by a user-friendly graphic 3D modeler or by text editors. Geometry parameters are fully parametrized for fast direct EM based optimizations.
- Field patterns can be directly optimized including shape profile functions.
- 3D structures can be exported and, in particular, also be imported using standard formats (e.g. STEP, SAT, BREP, IGES). In this way, imported structures can be de-composed and parametrized for fast optimizations.
- WASP-NET’s EM CAD engine needs for the rigorous calculation of combline or coax components merely a couple of seconds on state-of-the-art PCs. Shown speed benchmarks (per frequency point (fr.)) demonstrate WASP-NET’s high efficiency. Highest possible speed is particularly important when optimizing structures.
